show Abstracthide AbstractThe <a href="http://genome.jgi-psf.org/Mycgr1/Mycgr1.home.html">Department of Energy (DOE) Joint Genome Institute (JGI)</a>, in collaboration with the <a href="http://www.ars.usda.gov/is/pr/2005/050331.htm">USDA - Agricultural Research Service</a> and <a href="http://www.pri.wur.nl/UK/">Plant Research International</a>, sequenced the <i>Mycosphaerella graminicola </i> strain IPO323 genome at 8.9X coverage using whole genome shotgun (WGS) sequencing. The genome was annotated using both automated and manual methods. The <i>M. graminicola</i> genome is being finished at the <a href="http://www-shgc.stanford.edu/information/index.html">Stanford Human Genome Center (SHGC)</a>. The <i>M. graminicola</i> isolate IPO323 is a Dutch field strain that was isolated in 1984 from the wheat cultivar Arminda.
